Nation Celebrated Democracy Day

Democracy Day was celebrated with a program organized by civil society at Durbar Square Kathmandu today. The program started with a rally from Kalanki, famously known as Loktantrik Chowk (Democracy Crossroad).
The rally took around of Kalimati, Teku, Tripureshwore, Shahid Gate and finally concluded into a mass gathering upon reaching Durbar Square. Along with FNJ President Bishnu Nisthuri, various political leaders, Maoist Supremo Prachanda, civil society members, artists and others expressed their views about the political situation of this one year after the restoration of Democracy.
At the program president Nisthuri stressed on his disappointment on the long transitory period of nation and said that he soon wants to see the nation as a Republic one. Similarly,
FNJ organized a photo exhibition in a program organized by civil society on 23rd April at Durbar Square. The exhibition portrayed the pictures of people’s movement.
