Journalists ill-treated

Nepal Rameshwor Bohara, correspondent of Himal and Damodar Bhandari of Annapurna daily were ill treated by Maoists at Rolpa, mid-western district of Nepal, on 19 April.
A Maoist team along with Maoist commander of No. 5 division Sarad took the journalist duo under control and seized their camera. Bohara and Bhandari were interrupted while they were collecting news in an interaction program. They were freed after few hours. Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) criticized the incident.
The federation also urged the Maoist leadership and the government to investigate the incident and take action against the guilty.
