Reporters of Image Channel working in the terai region were threatened of physical action by Jaya Krishna Goit, president of Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (JTMM) on 10 April.

Goit directed his cadres to take physical action against the reporters of Image Television and Image FM that are working in the Terai region. The journalists were threatened regarding the news that was disseminated by the Channel in the morning of 10 April.

Federation of Nepalese Journalists has condemned the act of terrorising the journalists in this way. The federation urged the group to immediately withdraw the threatening and respect press freedom in the future.

FNJ also appealed the government to give special attention to the security of media persons.
